How Many Devices an Average US Consumer Uses to Access the Internet?
According to Verto Device Watch™ data a third of US online users owns at least one smartphone, one tablet and one computer.
Verto Device Watch™ tracks the ownership and use of digital devices, covering all key digital device categories from desktop computers to new mobile devices. According to the data, an increasing number of US consumers own more than one type of Internet-connected devices. The key Internet-connected device types include smartphones, tablets and computers (laptops and desktops).
The share of multi-screen Internet users kept increasing throughout 2014. Whereas the share of people using just a single device type, typically a PC, decreased from 34% to 29%, the share of people using all three device types increased from 27% to 33%. The trend is clear and expected to continue in 2015.
